A group of 17 students and 3 teachers from the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka, visited Pathshala South Asian Media Institute as part of an educational tour. Among the 17 students, 16 were Chinese nationals and 1 was from Japan. All of these students know Bengali. They can also sing Bengali songs.

During their visit, the students toured various classrooms at Pathshala and attentively observed the filmmaking process. Many of them became emotional after viewing the photo exhibition of the Bangladesh Press Photo Contest organized by Drik in the studio on the 8th level of the building.

All the participants of the educational tour came dressed in traditional Bengali attire. The female students wore colorful Bangladeshi sarees, while the male students wore panjabis from Aarong.

From Beijing University of Foreign Studies, the visiting students were: Chang Dan Ni, Chang Qian Yang, Yang Xiao Ran, Zhao Yu Chen, Ku Ren Long, and Tsui Lao Bin.

From Yunnan Minzu University: Wang Jing Wei, Huang Yu Ting, Tang Xian, Wang Yuxiu, Deng Di, and Lin Xingyu.

From Yunnan University: Zhou Yan Yan, Li Mian Xing, Shan Tian Ruo, and Fang Yuan.

From Tokyo University of Foreign Studies: Ka Na.

Among the teachers, Professor Rupa Chakraborty led the group, accompanied by Payel Banerjee and Sharmin Sultana.
