On February 28, 2025, during the orientation for the 7th batch of students of the “Post Graduate Diploma in Film and Television,” in Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, affiliated with the University of Dhaka, attendees first paid tribute to the recently deceased Pathshala professors Syed Ali Haider Rizvi and Zahidur Rahim Anjan.

One of the main attractions of the event was Dr. Shahidul Alam's congratulations and honors on receiving the Ekushey Padak and the screening of the films Novera, directed by Ananya Ruma, and Triggered, directed by American filmmaker Nadeem Uddin.
