Masrur Rahman Masud known as Nahid Masud is an accomplished Production sound Mixer and Sound Designer with over 20 years of experience in the film industry. He has worked on a wide spectrum of projects, including TV programs, feature films, documentaries, reality shows, and drama series, spanning both local and international productions.
Alongside his professional work, Masud is committed to film sound education. He is the Chief Instructor of Sound for Film and TV at the Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute and an Adjunct Faculty at Dhaka University, Jagannath University, where he teaches Sound for Film and Television and Advanced Sound Design, mentoring the next generation of sound professionals.
His feature film credits include Runway directed by Tareque Masud, Nona Joler Kabbo directed by Rezwan Shahriar Shumit, Prio Maloti directed by Shankha Dasgupta, Saba directed by Maksud Hossain, and Barir Naam Shahana directed by Leesa GaziMeghmallar directed by Zahidur Rahim Anjan, Tajuddin Ahmed: An Unsung Hero directed by Tanvir Mokammel among others.
In television, he has contributed his expertise to landmark productions such as the 20-episode drama series Bishaash and the 45-episode drama series Ujan Ganger Naiya, both produced by BBC Media Action.
Beyond national productions, Masud has collaborated extensively on international projects with BBC One, CBC Canada, BBC Current Affairs, Al Jazeera Television, Moonshine Media (US), Proudfoot Limited (UK), Amos Pictures (UK), Pelican Pictures (UK), and many others.
