Kha Ma Harun (K M Harun Al Rashid) is a Professor of Film and Television and currently serves as the Principal at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. He possesses more than four decades of professional and academic experience in the fields of media, broadcasting, and communication.
From 1980 to 2010, he held a series of senior leadership positions at Bangladesh Television (BTV), including Producer, Executive Producer, Program Manager, Director, DDG, and DG (Acting Director-General). He also served as Director of the National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) and as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Television and Film Studies at the University of Dhaka.
Professor K M Harun has produced and directed a wide range of internationally recognized television films, serials, dramas, musical productions, special events, and documentaries. His contributions have significantly shaped the development of television and film in Bangladesh.
In addition to his national engagements, he is an International Member of the Strategic Planning Team at the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), where he continues to contribute to policy and strategic discourse in global broadcasting and media development.
